Terms of service.

Effective: 1 June 2026 Last updated: 1 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of the PayWallet mobile application and the related services (collectively, “the Service”), provided by Pay Wallet Private Limited (“Pay Wallet”, “we”, “us”), with registered office at 1st Floor, MBM Grandeur, 35th Main Rd, Dollar Scheme Colony, 1st Stage, BTM 1st Stage, Bengaluru — 560068. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

This is a template provided as a starting point. Before going live, please have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer familiar with Indian fintech law, UPI/BBPS regulations, and consumer-protection requirements.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By installing PayWallet, creating an account, or initiating any transaction, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app and discontinue use.

2. Who can use PayWallet

  • You must be at least 18 (eighteen) years of age.
  • You must be a resident of India with a valid bank account at a UPI-participating Indian bank.
  • You must complete the KYC steps required by RBI / NPCI before transacting beyond the prescribed limit.
  • You must use the Service only for personal, lawful purposes.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials — including your device PIN, app login, and UPI PIN — confidential. Any activity that occurs after a successful authentication is treated as authorised by you. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately via contact@paywalletservice.com or your bank.

4. What the Service includes

PayWallet currently offers:

  • UPI-based money transfer to any UPI ID, bank account, or QR.
  • Bill payments via the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS).
  • Mobile, DTH, and cable recharges.
  • Travel bookings (flights, bus, hotels) via integrated partners.
  • Gift cards from participating brands.
  • Free credit-score checks via authorised credit bureaus.

Each service is subject to the rules of the underlying network (NPCI, BBPS) and the policies of the relevant partner. Service availability may change.

5. Fees & charges

UPI transactions and BBPS bill payments are free for personal users, in line with NPCI’s mandate. Some travel partners, recharge operators, or biller categories may add a convenience fee — this is shown clearly before you confirm. We do not add hidden charges.

6. Transactions & refunds

  • Every payment requires your explicit authorisation via your bank’s UPI PIN.
  • Successful transactions are typically irreversible, governed by NPCI dispute-resolution rules.
  • For unsuccessful or stuck transactions, raise a complaint inside the app within 30 days. We will pursue resolution with the underlying network and your bank.
  • Refunds, when applicable, are credited to the source bank account by the network and bank, on their timelines.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PayWallet to:

  • Engage in fraud, money-laundering, terror financing, or any unlawful activity.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app or its security.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers against the Service.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service.

We may suspend or terminate access if we suspect any of the above.

8. Intellectual property

The PayWallet name, logo, app, website, code, and content are owned by Pay Wallet Private Limited (or our licensors). Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use any of these marks except as needed to use the Service.

9. Third-party services

PayWallet relies on third parties — NPCI, banks, BBPS, recharge operators, travel partners, gift-card brands, credit bureaus, cloud providers. We are responsible for the parts of the Service we directly control; we are not responsible for outages, errors, or content originating from third-party systems — though we will assist you in raising those with the right party.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pay Wallet’s aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (often zero, since most use is free). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

11. Termination

You can stop using PayWallet anytime and delete your account from Settings → Privacy → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, the law, or NPCI/BBPS rules.

12. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms over time. Material changes will be communicated in-app at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, without prejudice to any consumer-protection forums available to you under Indian law.

14. Grievance officer
